Marinades Indian Restaurant

Fantastic!! Just arrived back from a 2 week holiday in Cairns & felt I must write a review for this restaurant. To put it simply... The best Indian cuisine I have tasted in Australia!! We discovered Marinades early in our holiday while walking along the street, hungry from a day's sightseeing & looking for somewhere interesting to eat. The wonderful smell of spices hit us from across the road & drew us to the door. The owner greeted us with a big smile & invited us into his already busy restaurant, seating us immediately opposite the open kitchen. It was a delight to watch the chefs busily creating the meals as we waited in anticipation. The menu was presented & in my opinion offered a great choice. The wine menu was adequate & not particularly over priced. We didn't have to wait too long for our meal despite the restaurant being so busy & the service was very friendly. The meal however, just fantastic. Subtle spice flavours, delicate smells, wonderful freshly made naan breads. All in all, well worth the inexpensive bill at the end of the evening. We enjoyed it so much we returned on our last night in Cairns for one last meal & again were most impressed. Do yourself a favour & try this place out.
